Typing this on my laptop, I’m filled with gratitude, humility and growth.
Being the course representative for my department although it pushed me out of my comfort zone, has helped me get out of my comfort zone and discover my leadership potential.
Of course, it is not easy. The responsibilities can be overwhelming and there have been times I felt frustrated and stressed. Despite all that, I find it all beautiful.
I have learned to communicate better, listen actively and empathize with others. This has allowed me to learn more about myself. The chance to discover strengths I never knew I had and to develop a greater sense of confidence and self-assurance. I've also learned how to manage my time effectively. I am still learning to stand in front of a hundred-plus people to speak or carry out a task. Me? Crazy!
I have the opportunity to lead and serve my fellow students. It is a privilege and responsibility that I take seriously and I’m committed to doing what I can to support them.
Looking to the future, I am excited to continue serving in this role and taking on new challenges and responsibilities.
I’m passionate about leadership and making a positive impact. This journey has taught me a lot about myself and the importance of service.
I’m grateful for this experience and the doors it will unlock for me.
Thank you, Jesus.
