Harmony: balancing our faith in our daily lives.

With the demands of school, work, relationships and daily responsibilities, it is easy to get caught up and forget to remain in Christ.

Yet, deep within, I know it is not only possible but essential for me to prioritise my spirituality to maintain peace, purpose, and direction.

Let's talk about prioritising spirituality in our daily routine and some practical ways to maintain spiritual energy daily because, quite frankly, it is easy to start but hard to maintain. 😔

Our faith is the foundation of our lives. It is our connection with God.

By prioritising it,

We find the meaning and purpose of our lives.

Build a relationship with others on a deeper level

Live a more authentic and intentional life

How do we prioritise?

  • Start with morning devotions. The YouVersion Bible app has a bunch. They set the tone for the rest of your day. Begin your day by reading a scripture, praying, or doing a devotion.

  • Take breaks during your day to pray or breathe.

  • Listening to podcasts or gospel music doesn't sound bad, either, and praying before meals is also good. (😔I am not consistent, either. We listen; we don't judge.)

  • Your spirit time should be non-negotiable.

  • Find your community. They would offer support, accountability and a sense of belonging.

Now to the main part: maintenance

It really doesn't have to be complicated or fit an aesthetic.

  • Create a routine that works for you, and pray to God to help you stick to it because you can't do it alone.

  • Be intentional with your time. Set aside time and avoid distractions. Anything else can wait.

  • Get an accountability partner. Share your goals with a friend or someone you trust and ask them to hold you accountable.

  • Care for yourself

  • Celebrate every milestone, big or small.

Our faith is not a destination but a journey that, if we are disciplined, leads us to live an intentional and authentic life.
