As I mark my 20th birthday, I'm reminded of the numerous lessons that have shaped me into the person I am now, and I'm eager to share them with you.
Denial is delay: When you fail to accept reality, you slow down your moving-on process.
Clean space, clean mind: Your environment affects your thought process.
Patience has a reward: Good things come to those who wait.
Celebrate the wins: Acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small.
All my feelings matter: Validate your emotions.
Trust is not a ‘what’ but a ‘who’, and that is Jesus: He is the way, the truth, and the life.
A three-fold chord is not easily broken: A relationship with Jesus in the middle stands the test of time.
Jesus died for my past, present, and future: A sacrifice all-encompassing.
Discipline > Motivation: Consistency is key.
Just do it: Take action despite fear and uncertainty.
Worrying is a waste of time: Focus on what you can control.
You deserve what you accept: Set boundaries and prioritize self-love.
Boundaries don't limit healthy relationships: If a relationship dies because of boundaries, it was never meant to be.
People treat you how you treat yourself: Be kind to yourself.
Body dysmorphia is an idea: Don't let societal standards define your worth.
Sisterhood is beautiful: Nurture meaningful relationships.
Financial independence comes with income.
No age is too early to start working on who you want to be. You don't need the validation of men or society.
More grace, less judgment. Be kind to people.
Uwa bu ofu mbia; live your best life
